Our Gondola Hummingbird Feeding Port is offered here with the standard aluminum base.
- 3 flowered feeding ports
- Base measures 3-3/8" wide x 1" high
- Stopper is conical. Top measures 1" and bottom that inserts into the base measures 1-3/8"
- Stopper is removable for cleaning
IMPORTANT: It has come to our attention that softened water, reverse osmosis water and distilled water is altered in such a way that over time its acidic nature will cause small pinholes in aluminum and copper.
With that said, we believe for the sake of your birds as well as your gondola, use only tap water or spring water in your nectar solutions. For the health of the birds, tap water should be filtered, boiled, or left to sit at room temperature for 24 hours to remove the chlorine. Water from a reverse osmosis system with a remineralization/alkaline system is safe; however, water from standard reverse osmosis or other water softening systems and distilled water should not be used.
