Jason Probstein is a lampworker living in Asheville, NC. He works glass tubing and rod with a torch to first heat and then shape his pieces using Corning Pyrex, a strong and very durable glass.
Jason received a degree in scientific glassblowing from Salem Community College and has studied Venetian glass techniques at the Penland School of Crafts.
He has performed glassblowing demonstrations at Walt Disney World and is currently doing demonstrations at Antler Village at the Biltmore Estate. His work is sold in galleries and museum gift shops around the country.
Jason's spirited, passionate commitment to consistency and perfection make each of his pieces an original, unique signed work of art.
