Gail Lyman is a self-taught artist from St. Louis, Missouri, living in the Maryland area for the last 20 years. Gail has acquired her technical skills through lots and lots of trial and error.
Each ceramic piece is hand sculpted, painted, fired to 1800 degrees, glazed, and fired again. Most of the pieces are low-fire ceramic clay, but also include porcelain and high-fire stoneware. Her attention to detail gives individual personality to every critter.
Her brightly-colored ceramic artwork focuses on a wide range of animals including elephants, moose, sheep, turtles, cows, pigs, bunnies, bears, cats, penguins and bugs; and a cast of characters such as: Santa Claus, snowpeople, angels, chefs, monks, wizards, Kitchen Witches and many more.
Look for the GML stamp on the bottom of each creation to ensure a Gail Lyman Original.
Gail has retired, so please choose from her available art.
